SearchMe Cracks Visual Search
Apparently, SearchMe has been around since 2005 and have raised $31M in funding from well known VCs like Sequoia. Today they’ve announced a private beta signup.
What’s interesting about SearchMe is that it’s primarily a visual-based search. Yeah, I know, visual search has been around, attempted, and failed several times in the past—I even worked on one when I was at Cornell. Visual search is a tough nut to crack, but I really think these guys are onto something.
